Strength

“I’ve had anxiety since the 8th grade, so about 4 years now, and for the past 4 year I’ve let it rule over my life. Giving up friends, missing out on good times, giving up a normal high school experience at a school I worked my butt off to get accepted into only for my anxiety to tell me “nope you can’t do this, time for independent studies” 7 months into freshman year. But here I am today, about to be a senior, to tell you that I am back in control of my life, going to therapy and taking care of myself bc I’m tired of all the “I CANT’s!” I can do anything I set my mind to and that’s exactly what I plan to do for the rest of my life.” – anxiety.relief

  1. “I’m strong for not giving up despite what I feel.”

    Those are powerful words. In the darkness it’s so easy to focus on how we feel weak or overwhelmed. In those moments we forget to step back and actually recognize how strong we are. This statement shows how the simple act of living in itself makes us strong.
