“Every morning I wake up and decide that, I WILL be happy today, and I WILL NOT let my anxiety or depression control me today. After my miscarriage I realized that I wasn’t going to get better until I decided that I was going to get better. I fell into a depressive state worse than I had ever been in and i begin to gain weight quickly. Finally one day I realized that unless I decided that today was going to be better than yesterday then it never would be. It’s okay to have bad days and it’s okay to take a step backward but you can’t unpack and live in that place. You have to consciously make the decision that you are going to be happy each day.”
