As holidays are here and some are still approaching, there is the anxiety of family gatherings. Family could be your comfort or trigger. Mine has been both through the years. There is the battling an eating disorder and hearing comments about your weight. There is fighting an depressive episode and faking happiness to get through the gathering. Could also be the arguments that trigger you within the family. But then there is the joy, laughs, and gratitude that can make it worth it. If they are your trigger, I hope you find peace and understand that it is okay to protect it even if that means leaving early. If they are your comfort, enjoy it and absorb it.
