Letting go

“I’ve lost many friends and family due to bipolar II disorder and in the process I learned that you can love someone and they can love you back, but they can also be toxic so you have to let them go. I stopped allowing others’ lack of understanding of mental illness or unrealistic expectations dictate my progress. Because my journey cannot be led nor experienced by anyone other than myself. Once I burned those toxic bridges and learned to accept myself, I found a whole new level of inner peace.”
